Parent/community Coordinator

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to introduce myself as the new Parent coordinator at MS 136. My name is Jazmin Guerrero and I am extremely excited to start this new journey with all of you. As a Parent Coordinator, my main goal is to promote a positive and collaborative relationship between parents, educators, and students. I will serve as the liaison between the school and families ensuring effective communication and support. Family engagement is important and together we can create a supportive environment where our students can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Therefore, I am here to provide you with information about school events, programs and resources. In addition, I am more than happy to assist you with any questions or concerns that may arise. I look forward to getting to know you and collaborating with you closely in the best interest of your child. Parent Coordinator

Dear M.S. 136 Families,

Welcome to the new school year! I hope you had a relaxing summer. My name is Martha Duran, and I am the Parent Coordinator at M.S. 136. As we prepare for another school year, I am very excited to serve you in the 2024-2025 academic year.

It is an honor for me to work within the Dewey community, and I want to start by creating a positive community atmosphere and strengthening the relationship between the school and our families. As the Parent Coordinator, my role is to ensure the well-being of our students and, of course, our families. My goal for this new school year is to have our parents more involved in their children's education. Throughout the school year, I plan to organize educational workshops for parents. The topics will be chosen based on the interests of our community. Therefore, I invite you to participate in the school events. During the school year, we will send information about these events home with your child. It is also important to check the school website at www.ms136brooklyn.com to stay informed about what is happening at school. Queridas familias de M.S 136,

Bienvenidos a este nuevo año escolar, Espero que hayan tenido un verano relajado. Mi nombre es Martha Duran soy la Coordinadora de padres de familia en M.S 136. A medida que nos preparamos para otro año escolar estoy muy emocionada de poder servirles en este nuevo año lectivo 2024-2025.

 Para mí es un honor trabajar en la comunidad de Dewey y por lo tanto quiero comenzar creando un ambiente positivo de comunidad y fortalecer la relación entre la escuela y los padres de familia.

 Como coordinadora de padres es velar por el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes y por supuesto de nuestras familias.  Mi propósito en este nuevo año escolar es; que nuestros padres se encuentren más involucrados en la educación de nuestros estudiantes. Durante el trascurso del año escolar me gustaría realizar talleres educativos para padres.  Los temas serán escogidos de acuerdo con los intereses de la comunidad. Por lo tanto, queridos padres les invito a que participen en los eventos de la escuela. Mediante el año escolar estaremos enviando con su hijo/hija la información de los   eventos que se realizaran en la escuela, también es importante que revise la página web de la escuela www.ms136brooklyn.com donde ustedes pueden mantenerse informado de lo que sucede en la escuela.
